We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will support key accounting processes and actively participate in improving organizational workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in completing monthly and annual financial close procedures.
• Prepare and submit construction draw documents with precision and timeliness.
• Reconcile bank and vendor accounts to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within accounting operations.
• Collaborate on the implementation of new accounting software systems.
• Support auditing activities by providing accurate documentation and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to maintain smooth financial operations.
• Assist in billing functions and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Work closely with the Controller to address financial queries and provide actionable insights.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• Prior experience in the construction industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with financial systems such as Procore, Intacct, or Sage Intacct is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and auditing processes.
• Adept at learning and using new software tools to improve accounting workflows.
