Application Support Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to ensure seamless integration between QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and web-based systems. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and the ability to maintain system security and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy a web service hosted on Azure Virtual Machines to facilitate invoice data exchange between the website and QuickBooks.

• Build or configure components on the website to capture and securely transmit invoice data to the integration service.

• Investigate and implement alternative methods, such as database-driven solutions, to enable direct access to invoice data within QuickBooks.

• Ensure synchronization of invoice information in real-time between the website and QuickBooks systems.

• Maintain the security and integrity of the system while complying with financial data standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand workflows and improve integration processes.

• Provide comprehensive documentation and training to support ongoing system maintenance.

• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance to enhance operational efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with data security protocols and financial system requirements.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and its integrations.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Virtual Machines and web servers.
• Proficiency in web service development and database management.
• Familiarity with financial system compliance standards and data security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for documentation and collaboration.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Dell Technologies, and Cisco systems.
• Proven ability to provide application support and manage computer hardware effectively.
