Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a dependable and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Park City, Utah. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor records, and supporting the accounts payable function in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring basic Excel skills, familiarity with QuickBooks, and a strong commitment to communication and reliability.

Responsibilities:
• Process and verify vendor invoices with accuracy and ensure timely payments.
• Assist in preparing payment runs and perform account reconciliations as needed.
• Update and maintain vendor records within the accounting system, including QuickBooks.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to address and resolve payment inquiries.
• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Manage document organization and filing to maintain accurate financial records.
• Identify and address discrepancies in invoices or payment processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all AP activities.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and data organization.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
• Reliability and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.
• Knowledge of account coding and accrual accounting is a plus.
