Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Avon, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing vendor payments, and supporting overall accounting functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and proficiency with accounting software.

Responsibilities:
• Process and code invoices into the accounting system with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date accounts payable files and vendor information.
• Prepare and execute regular check runs to ensure timely vendor payments.
• Verify and post account transactions to maintain accurate accounting ledgers.
• Monitor and record weekly employee credit card transactions.
• Provide support for additional accounting tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance processes and improve departmental efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
• Ability to accurately code invoices and manage credit card charges.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities.
• Open to continuous learning and process improvement.
• Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred.
