Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Roslyn, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of purchase orders while supporting various purchasing-related activities. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify purchase orders to ensure compliance with established purchasing policies.

• Address inquiries and provide support related to purchasing processes and policies.

• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and purchase orders.

• Assist with resolving discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline purchasing and payment processes.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

• Support audits and reporting requirements by preparing relevant documentation.

• Monitor and manage accounts payable workflows to maintain efficiency.

• Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including purchase order management.
• Strong understanding of purchasing policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in handling invoice processing and payment workflows.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
• Familiarity with accounting software or systems is a plus.
• Prior experience in the education industry is advantageous.
