We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Norfolk, Virginia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments for a high-volume import/export logistics operation. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:• Process and code invoices to their respective jobs with accuracy and efficiency.• Prepare scheduled check runs to ensure timely vendor payments.• Utilize multiple systems, including NetSuite, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and Fileform, to manage invoice workflows.• Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure invoice accuracy.• Communicate effectively with internal departments to verify and reconcile invoice data.• Handle a high volume of invoices daily while maintaining precision and meeting deadlines.• Maintain organized records and documentation to support financial audits and reporting.• Monitor accounts payable processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.• Support additional administrative tasks related to accounts payable as needed.
