Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee. This is a Contract-to-permanent opportunity, offering a path to long-term growth within the organization. The role involves a variety of accounting tasks, including financial reporting, data entry, and monthly reconciliations. Candidates with a strong foundation in accounting and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Print and distribute financial statements to senior management on a regular basis.

• Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Execute accounting-related data entry with precision and attention to detail.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and present financial data.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth accounting operations.

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address financial discrepancies.

• Support the accounting team with ad hoc tasks and reporting as needed.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting-related role, such as Accounting Clerk, Assistant, or Specialist.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including monthly reconciliations.
• Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook or similar email and scheduling tools.
• A degree in Accounting is preferred but not required; opportunities for advancement are available for those with relevant qualifications.
