Accounting Specialist (AR)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Specialist (AR) to join our clients team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to revenue optimization and process improvements. You will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of their accounts receivable and collections operations.

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret client contracts to ensure accurate billing and collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams to address discrepancies.

• Investigate and resolve client inquiries and billing-related issues in a timely manner.

• Prepare and issue client invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.

• Process incoming payments via check, credit card, and other payment platforms, while maintaining accurate records.

• Manage credit requests, verify credit references, and handle tax exemption certifications and W9 documentation.

• Conduct audits on billing-related account activities to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

• Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments or irregularities and document collection efforts.

• Assist with ad-hoc analysis, special projects, and other accounting-related tasks as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or payable, with 1-3 years in general accounting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, invoice processing, and data entry.
• Strong Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and other advanced functions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach when interacting with clients and team members.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
