We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations at a plant in Wilmington, Massachusetts. This contract position involves managing key accounting activities and providing strategic financial support to the plant’s leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and a commitment to maintaining compliance and accuracy in financial practices.Responsibilities:• Supervise and develop the accounting team, ensuring roles are clearly defined and fostering growth and attention to detail.• Provide financial guidance and mentorship to the plant’s leadership and finance teams.• Ensure compliance with organizational accounting standards and principles.• Monitor internal controls and implement measures to improve financial accuracy and security.• Lead the planning and coordination of the plant’s annual budget.• Oversee month-end and year-end financial reporting and associated activities.• Support inventory control processes and ensure adherence to compliance regulations.• Manage production manufacturing variances and ensure accurate reporting.• Maintain customer pricing files and collaborate with controllers to address pricing for major volume customers.• Build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
