Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a meticulous Accounting Clerk to join our team in Liberty, Kentucky. In this role, you will handle a variety of financial tasks and ensure the accuracy of our accounting records. If you are skilled in QuickBooks, detail-oriented, and have a strong grasp of general accounting principles, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain accurate financial data using QuickBooks.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.

• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.

• Assist in month-end closings by preparing journal entries and related tasks.

• Create and distribute invoices to clients in a timely manner.

• Organize vendor information and oversee 1099 tracking processes.

• Support payroll processing and related reporting as required.

• Prepare financial reports and assist in maintaining internal documentation.

• Address inquiries related to accounting matters from staff and external vendors.

• Perform administrative tasks to support the accounting department.

• Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role.
• Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop versions).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic understanding of standard accounting practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with sales tax filings or payroll processing is a plus.
