Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Assistant to join our team in Arlington, Washington. This Contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting, exceptional organizational skills, and proficiency in tools like Excel and Yardi Software. The role offers the opportunity to play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting operations.

Responsibilities:
• Manage essential accounting tasks such as Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and General Ledger (G/L) entries.
• Prepare and reconcile financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize Yardi Software for accounting workflows and efficient data management.
• Maintain precise and confidential records while processing transactions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address financial queries and ensure smooth communication.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and invoice coding to support financial operations.
• Support the team with special projects and ad hoc assignments as required.
• Uphold high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness in all accounting processes.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, including A/P, A/R, and G/L functions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.
• Familiarity with Yardi Software or equivalent accounting platforms is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing financial data.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities to liaise with various stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience with Office 365 tools such as SharePoint and PowerApps is a plus.
• Dependable and capable of working independently while contributing to the team.
