Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out procedures with efficiency.
- Accurately collect co-pays and verify insurance details to ensure seamless billing processes.
- Coordinate and schedule patient procedures, including sleep studies, while maintaining timely follow-ups.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records by handling documentation, filing, and scanning tasks.
- Perform general administrative duties such as data entry and answering inbound calls to assist patients and staff.
- Ensure a respectful and positive experience for patients by addressing their needs with care and courtesy.
- Support providers and staff by managing a busy workload and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Protect patient confidentiality by adhering to policies and procedures for handling sensitive information.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems efficiently to store and retrieve patient data.
- Adapt to the dynamic needs of the practice and contribute to its smooth operation.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients and staff in a detail-oriented manner.
- Proficiency in handling financial transactions, including co-pays and insurance verifications.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the needs of both patients and healthcare providers.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Positive attitude and detail-oriented approach to contribute to a welcoming practice environment.
