What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Charleston Dermatology?
Charleston Dermatology is seeking a medical receptionist to join our team! Job duties include:
- Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone. Facilitating check in and check out process.
- Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues.
- Optimizing patient and provider schedules with scheduling within our electronic medical record software.
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.
- Verifying financial records and collecting patient charges.
Important job skills include: pleasant demeanor, customer service skills including communication with patients on the phone and in person, ability to multitask/task switch, and ability to work in a fast paced environment. Weekly hours approximately include Monday-Thursday 8-4/4:30. Hourly wages negotiable based on experience. Experience preferred, but not required. Come join our work family!
