Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will support the pharmacist in daily operations, ensure accurate prescription processing, and provide excellent customer service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
- Enter and process prescription orders accurately in the system
- Handle insurance claims, prior authorizations, and rejections
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and expiration checks
- Provide courteous and professional customer service
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations
- Support daily pharmacy workflow and administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification/registration (as required by state)
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with insurance billing and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with retail pharmacy workflow
- Bilingual skills are a plus
