POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for delivering finished products to customers. Loads and unloads the truck in a safe and timely manner according to Company procedures. Minimizes delays and reports problems. Completes special projects as assigned. Full-time position

Essential Functions And Basic Duties

• Assumes responsibility for efficiently and effectively delivering product orders to customers.
• Reviews paperwork for completeness and accuracy. Checks orders for correct number of pieces, correct addresses, and support documentation.
• Checks load onto delivery truck. Follows established loading procedures.
• Drives truck to customer homes as directed by delivery documents.
• Unloads the delivery as required by client/designer as required. Leaves the appropriate paperwork and secures the required signatures on delivery documents.
• Assumes responsibility for efficiently picking up supplies and equipment as needed.
• Picks up furniture/donations from clients.
• Loads pick-ups onto delivery truck. Follows established loading procedures.
• Unloads furniture at the warehouse.
• Checks in product in driver return. Assists warehouse personnel in proper placement of supplies.
• Completes and files related paperwork.
• Assumes responsibility for performing driving and loading functions in compliance with Company safety regulations.
• Loads and unloads orders and supplies carefully and safely.
• Follows all established safety standards.
• Seeks to promote safe operations with area staff and customer and store personnel.
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective communication and coordination with management personnel, customers, and vendors.
• Keeps management and dispatch informed of all activities and of any significant problems.
• Maintains regular contact with Customer Service to obtain information and/or correct problems.
• Completes required forms and paperwork accurately and according to Company procedures.
• Maintains the Company’s professional reputation.
• Assumes other related duties as required or assigned.
• Keeps vehicles well maintained, safe, and secure.
• Performs special projects as required.
  
  

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

• Customer orders arrive in quality condition.
• Deliveries correspond precisely to customer orders.
• Professional communication exists with customers and warehouse. Customers are accurately informed of order discrepancies.
• Driving and loading functions are performed according to Company standards and safety regulations.
• Delivery schedules are precisely met. Delays are minimized.
• Vehicles are clean and well maintained.
• Good communication and coordination exist with area staff, related departments, customers, and vendors. Management is well informed.
