We are seeking a skilled and reliable cook/chef to join our fast-paced, takeout focused kitchen. The ideal candidate specializes in Jamaican/ Caribbean cuisine and is passionate about food, works efficiently under pressure, and is committed to delivering consistent, high-quality meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
- Ensure all food is prepared quickly and accurately for takeout orders
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Keep kitchen stations clean, stocked, and organized
- Assist with prep work (cutting, marinating, seasoning,)
- Monitor inventory and communicate low stock items
- Work collaboratively with team members during busy periods
Expectations
- Arrive on time daily
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Be flexible with schedule (holidays)
- Follow instructions and adapt to kitchen systems
- Show initiative and a strong work ethic

Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience preferred (restaurant or fast-paced kitchen)
- Must be ServSafe certified
- Knowledge of food safety practices
