Roanoke Catholic School seeks a personable, organized, and creative Director of Admissions and Marketing to lead student recruitment, guide prospective families through the admissions process, and share the story of our school.

Serving students from preschool through twelfth grade, Roanoke Catholic offers a faith-centered education rooted in academic excellence, service, and a close-knit school community. Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Admissions and Marketing will work closely with school leadership, faculty, and staff to strengthen enrollment, support student retention, and maintain consistent, engaging school communications. To apply

Primary Responsibilities

Admissions and Enrollment

• Manage the admissions process from initial inquiry through application, acceptance, and enrollment.
• Build relationships with prospective families through timely communication, personal attention, and thoughtful follow-up.
• Coordinate campus tours, student shadow visits, open houses, and recruitment events.
• Develop and implement an enrollment plan with clear goals and measurable results.
• Maintain accurate admissions records and provide regular reports on inquiries, applications, enrollment, and recruitment efforts.
• Partner with school leadership to support family engagement, retention, and re-enrollment.
• Build connections with local parishes, preschools, community organizations, and other referral partners.
• Coordinate student ambassadors and engage current families in welcoming prospective students.

Marketing and Communications

• Develop and carry out a marketing plan that reflects the school’s Catholic identity, mission, and strengths.
• Manage school marketing content across the website, social media, print materials, and advertising.
• Work with faculty and staff to highlight student learning, achievements, school traditions, athletics, and community life.
• Create clear, compelling written and visual content while maintaining consistent school branding.
• Coordinate photography and video content, following school policies for student privacy and media permissions.
• Collaborate with advancement staff to support school events, outreach, and communications.
• Monitor marketing results and use findings to improve recruitment and outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, education, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in admissions, enrollment management, marketing, communications, or relationship-based outreach; school experience preferred.
• Strong writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Experience with social media, website content management, digital marketing, and design tools.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
• Comfort maintaining databases and using data to evaluate progress.
• A warm, professional manner and the ability to connect with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church and the Catholic identity of Roanoke Catholic School.
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend admissions and school events.
