Overview
Join our team as a Redi Mix Plant Groundskeeper and be responsible for supporting daily operations at our concrete plant/yard. This role involves maintaining the yard, assisting drivers and plant operators, handling materials, and ensuring equipment and work areas are safe, clean, and organized.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concrete yard, including washing down areas and removing debris
- Assist ready-mix truck drivers with loading, unloading, and staging materials
- Operate basic equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, or pressure washers (as trained)
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of plant equipment, tools, and vehicles
- Monitor material stockpiles (sand, gravel, cement) and report shortages or issues
- Help with batching support tasks as needed
- Direct traffic in the yard and ensure safe movement of trucks and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures,(hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, etc.)
- Assist with minor repairs and general labor tasks around the facility
- Work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 50 pounds
- Basic mechanical skills are a plus
- Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred but not required
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
