Asphalt raker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Asphalt Raker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the paving process, ensuring that asphalt is evenly distributed and properly finished. This position requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.

Duties

• Operate various heavy equipment, including Caterpillar machines, backhoes, graders, and front loaders, to assist in the paving process.
• Rake and spread asphalt to ensure an even surface during road construction and repair projects.
• Collaborate with team members to build and pave roads, parking lots, and other surfaces as required.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment on construction sites.
• Assist in the operation of dump trucks for transporting materials as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred, particularly with Caterpillar machinery, backhoes, graders, and front loaders.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues on-site.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to asphalt paving techniques and equipment operation.
