Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Corrections - 32535

Ro Health is looking for a dedicated LVN to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Post, TX!

This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.

Details:

• Location: Post, TX
• Schedule: Full-time
• Shift: PM
• Rotating Schedule, 4 days on
• Employment Type: Contract
• Pay: higher pay for travelers who are 50 or more miles away from the facility!

Qualifications:

• Active Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license (in good standing)
• BLS Certification
• Ability to pass a strict background check
• Prior corrections is a bonus!
• 1 year of experience (must be independent)

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, including oral, topical, and intramuscular injections, as prescribed
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to RNs or medical providers
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic medical treatments
• Support patient mobility, hygiene, and activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
• Conduct health screenings and collect patient medical history
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as necessary
• Ensure proper infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and mental health providers to coordinate patient care
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records
• Ensure compliance with CDCR policies, state regulations, and facility protocols
