We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a passion for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment. This role requires hands-on experience with various machinery and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues. The Industrial Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair on a variety of industrial equipment, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, motor graters, etc.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues and conduct equipment diagnostics on heavy equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts for effective troubleshooting.
- Execute fabrication tasks as needed, including welding and assembly of components.
- Conduct inspections, alignments, brake repairs, and hydraulic system maintenance.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Diesel Technician Certificate (Preferred)
- Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic or similar role in automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair, air brake systems, suspension systems, hydraulics, and transmissions.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to provide clear updates to management and customers.
