Position Overview
As an Accounting Services Associate, you will oversee the full cycle of bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple clients across various industries. This role requires a strong understanding of financial record-keeping, payroll processing, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively within our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, bank accounts, and credit card statements for multiple clients.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Oversee payroll processing, including tax reporting and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for client reporting and analysis.
- Assist in tax preparation by organizing and summarizing financial data for accountants and CPAs.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and government regulations.
- Provide client support, addressing inquiries related to financial transactions and reports.
- Collaborate closely with CPAs and accountants to assist in financial reporting and strategic planning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience preferred, preferably in a public accounting firm.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. Experience with payroll and accounting software is a plus.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Certifications: QuickBooks Certification or other bookkeeping certifications are a plus but not required.
