Position Overview RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting an Engineer in Coronado, California, or Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award. Roles and Responsibilities Identify project requirements and develop design criteriaProduce detailed designs, specifications, cost estimates, and instructionsProvide expert consulting for facility planning, design, and constructionAdvise on planning, budgeting, scheduling, and technical mattersOversee and track design and construction project executionConduct or coordinate site investigations to assess project feasibilityReview designs, cost estimates, and technical documents to support timely project executionEnsure architectural and engineering plans meet all requirementsAnalyze costs and develop plans to address deficienciesManage contracts for maintenance, repair, renovation, and new constructionParticipate in planning studies and review related documentationRepresent the organization in engineering meetings with external agenciesDevelop and implement program plans to meet design, budget, and schedule timelinesMonitor project status and recommend design/construction awards and funding actionsCoordinate with construction agents on bids and funding adjustmentsResolve construction issues by developing alternatives and coordinating technical solutionsRequired Qualifications and ExperiencePossess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or architectureAdvanced degree and/or professional certification (Professional Engineer or Registered Architect) is highly desirableAt least 8 years’ experience in engineering or architecture fieldAt least 8 years’ experience executing and delivering technical facility design and construction projectsAt least 4 years’ experience in a military environmentAt least 4 years’ experience with facilities acquisition, bids and proposals, and constructionCompany OverviewRMGS, Inc. is a growing small business headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
