LPN - Clinic

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients during an assigned shift.

Shall be responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing practice, and for managing supplies and equipment under the direction of the Clinic Director and/or Clinical Supervisor.

Must follow accepted safety practices for patients and clinic; report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action and must participate in safety instructional programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, possess a current Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse license, certification in basic lifesaving skills and exhibit proficiency in nursing care and oral communications.

Desirable characteristics include at least two years of experience in a clinic, hospital or medically related environment.

Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.

Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
