Position Title: CRT/RRT

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing care, including assessment, treatment, management, controlling diagnostic evaluation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Consults with physicians. Provides consultation, instruction and/or technical direction of medical, nursing and other staff Members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a current Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license (CRT/RRT). Desirable characteristics include at least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environ¬ment. Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
