Position Overview
The Architectural Product Sales Representative – Glazing & Building Envelope Products is responsible for driving sales growth through the promotion, specification, and sale of the company’s architectural glazing and security products, building envelope solutions, and others. This individual will engage with architects, façade consultants, contractors, developers, businesses, and government agencies to secure product specifications and ensure inclusion of company products in commercial, institutional, and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with architects, facade engineers, general contractors, glaziers, and government agencies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and upcoming projects in the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular in-person visits, presentations, and technical discussions with key decision-makers.
- Provide consistent follow-up on relevant customers and project opportunities
2. Specification & Project Support
- Promote company glazing and security products by gaining inclusion in architectural specifications and project drawings.
- Provide technical assistance to design professionals on performance, energy efficiency, structural requirements, and aesthetic options.
- Track and manage projects from design to installation.
- Ensure project specifications are protected through the bid and procurement process to final sale.
3. Sales Execution
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and presentations customized for client needs.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts within established guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, activities, and forecasts.
4. Market Intelligence & Representation
- Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and market shifts to identify opportunities and threats.
- Represent the company at trade shows, AIA/CSI events, and other industry networking functions.
- Conduct accredited continuing education (“lunch and learn”) sessions for architectural and design firms.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in architectural or construction product sales, preferably within the glazing, façade, or building envelope industry.
- Understanding of building envelope performance requirements — including energy codes, thermal performance, air/water infiltration, and structural glazing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), Microsoft Office, and basic design software (AutoCAD, Revit familiarity is an asset).

Pay: $73,188.64 - $88,141.16 per year
