Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct cabinets and furniture
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install cabinetry using hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery as needed
- Fabricate custom components through woodworking, metalworking, or other fabrication techniques
- Perform precise trim carpentry including door hanging, fixture installation, and finishing touches
- Ensure all cabinetry meets safety standards, building codes, and client specifications through quality control checks
- Assist with construction estimating for projects involving cabinetry installation or remodeling tasks
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high craftsmanship standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinet making, woodworking, or related construction fields with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws), power tools (e.g., drills, sanders), and CNC machinery for fabrication
- Knowledge of construction estimating, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical experience, plumbing, masonry or plastering is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on construction sites or workshop environments
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of site safety protocols and building codes
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration or mold remediation is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining quality standards
