We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, horizontal drilling machines, tankers, and paving machinery with precision and safety.
- Drive and maneuver dump trucks and other commercial vehicles to transport materials to and from construction sites efficiently.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections on all equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, paving, and other construction activities as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery and driving trucks across various terrains.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and transportation records.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving machinery.
- Proven experience in construction site operations with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in hauling construction materials using dump trucks or similar vehicles.
- Expertise in operating multiple types of heavy equipment including Caterpillar machinery and specialized tools like graders or horizontal drills.
- Knowledge of construction processes such as paving, grading, excavation, water trucking, and tanker operations.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to prevent breakdowns during critical phases of work.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
