Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Direct Support Professional located in Moberly, MO. The primary responsibilities include assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral challenges in their daily living activities, supporting their independence, and promoting community involvement. Additional responsibilities include providing personal care, transportation, and teaching life skills. The professional will also collaborate with a team to deliver tailored services aligned with the Individualized Supported Living (ISL) program while fostering a respectful and supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Human Services and supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills to effectively engage with individuals and teams
- Willingness to engage in ongoing Training to enhance caregiving and professional development
- Demonstrated understanding of behavioral challenges and strategies to provide supportive care
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to fostering individual independence
- Valid driver’s license and ability to provide transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in human services or related field is a plus
