- We are currently searching for an experienced Civil Foreman to join our Civil Construction team of hardworking and dedicated employees.
- Experience/Requirements: 5 yrs. of experience as a foreman or motor grader operator
Experience in Dirt work, Grading, Soil Stabilization including lime and cement, stone installation, pulling shoulders etc.
Job Duties:
- Ensure safety of crew and public; comply with all safety initiatives, protocols, and procedures
- Work with the superintendent to plan your work for the next day.
- Line up crew everyday per work schedule
- Coordinate all trucks and equipment for next days work
- Monitor labor, haul, equipment production
- Track quantities
- Ensure projects are built to spec
- Ensure projects are built on time and under budget
- Ensure foreman & operators maintain equipment
- Must understand job layouts, project specifications, blue prints, grade sheets, signage, GPS
- Read/Interpret blueprints
- Develop employees
- Plan, assign, coordinate and evaluate crew members.
- Must be able to adapt to changing job locations and spec.
- Must be able to multi task and delegate responsibilities.
- Must be knowledgeable with soil cement and lime stabilization processes.
- We have a lot of work in the Baton Rouge metro area.
- We don't work nights.
- We work few weekends.
