Job Description
The Director of Operations oversees end-to-end plant performance, financial and operational metrics, production planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role works closely with executive leadership to ensure operational strategies support growth, profitability, and operational excellence while maintaining a strong culture of safety, accountability, and employee engagement.
Main Duties & Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership over manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, engineering, quality, and maintenance functions

Develop and execute operational strategies that improve productivity, safety, and efficiency

Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional leadership teams and staff

Oversee operational budgets, financial performance, and P&L accountability

Implement performance metrics, reporting dashboards, and KPI management

Ensure quality standards, process reliability, and customer satisfaction

Lead continuous improvement, process optimization, and resource planning initiatives

Collaborate with executive leadership and commercial teams to align goals and strategies

Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field required

MBA strongly preferred

Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations

Experience in blown film, paper, or extrusion manufacturing preferred

Strong financial and analytical acumen, including P&L ownership

Proven success leading large, cross-functional teams

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and operational best practices

Skilled in vendor and contract negotiation (domestic and international)

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
