Overview
Our Cannabis Consultants are responsible for assisting and educating consumers, completing transactions, cash handling, customer service, and maintaining our quality inventory for compliance and organization. You must possess the ability to effectively communicate with various audiences and have the desire to provide top-notch customer service to our patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sales and customer experience by warmly greeting and assisting customers upon arrival.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting retail store environment.
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented and compliant with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain product and industry knowledge.
- Accurately use and maintain the Point Of Sale (POS) system.
- Perform correct cash handling and drawer counting activities.
- Accurate and timely data entry of customer profiles.
- Verifying proper customer paperwork, documentation and IDs.
- Compliance activities such as labeling and verifying order accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
This is a part-time position.
Required skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
- Must pass any and all background checks required by the State of Michigan.
- Knowledge of local and state cannabis laws and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of cannabis products and therapies.
Desired skills
- 1 year of customer service and retail experience preferred but not required.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a positive personality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, especially related to product, dosages, and money handling.
- Ability to easily adapt to changes and learn new tasks quickly.
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment while working well with others.
- Open availability and flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiar with various computer applications/possess basic computer skills.
- Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
