Job Summary:

The line cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of food to customers. The ideal candidate is experienced in a variety of cooking techniques, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring that all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented attractively.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of food to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including sanitizing work surfaces, and keeping all equipment clean and in good working order.
• Monitor food inventory levels and alert the manager when supplies need to be reordered.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including handling food and equipment safely and correctly.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down the kitchen, cleaning and organizing the kitchen at the end of the night, and ensuring that all food is properly stored and labeled.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role in a restaurant setting.
• Familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques and methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
