Job Overview
Responsible for opening, closing, and maintaining all stations on the line and prep areas. Have the ability to prepare all menu items according to the recipe and complete basic food-prepping tasks for a restaurant. Follow proper safety, sanitation, food handling, and cleaning procedures. Operate and maintain all equipment. Assist the Executive Chef in receiving, storing, labeling, dating, and rotating products. Make sure the line is stocked and ready for service. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
- Preparing food including cleaning, cutting the ingredients, and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks
- Plating prepared foods based on the Executive Chef's guidance
- Collaborating with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen, cooking utensils, and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
- Check stations for organization and cleanliness
- Inventory station at the end of each shift and create prep lists
