Riverview School is an independent coeducational boarding/day school, providing a caring community and learning environment for adolescents and young adults with complex language, learning and cognitive disabilities.
We are seeking Per Diem Academic Substitute TeachersM-F 8am-3:30pm Provides academic instruction to adolescents with complex language, learning, and cognitive disabilities.
Essential Job Functions to include:
Provide instruction in a variety of subject areasEngage in data-driven instruction and meaningful assessment practicesAdapt instruction and materials to meet the individual needs of studentsCollaborate and communicate with other team members in addressing the needs of the whole childUse technology to support and facilitate meaningful learning experiences
Candidate Requirements:
College graduate with experience working with special education population, teaching license a plusExperience in an independent school environment preferredStrong ability to incorporate technology into instructionExceptional written, interpersonal, and problem solving skillsAbility to handle a fast-paced environment Passion for Riverviews mission and the field of special educationCurrent/valid drivers license

Suitable background check (CORI, SORI, DCF and fingerprinting)
