We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technicians on our team of facilities professionals. The Maintenance Technician supports the safe, comfortable, and efficient operation of a boarding school campus by performing routine maintenance and repairs across academic, residential, and administrative buildings. This role requires working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems and a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and responsiveness in a school community where students live on campus year-round. Classification: Non-exempt/hourly

- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of campus buildings, including dormitories, classrooms, dining facilities, and common areas
- Troubleshoot and assist with basic HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues to ensure reliable building systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules
- Repair or replace fixtures, lighting, outlets, plumbing components, and equipment as needed
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls, including those affecting student housing
- Assist with after hours or emergency maintenance situations when required
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, or potential hazards
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a safe and organized condition
- Coordinate work with other maintenance team members and outside contractors
- Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and child safe workplace standards
- Snow plowing and snow removal as required by season
- Other duties as assigned Other Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous maintenance/facilities experience preferred
- General working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- Suitable background check result and fingerprinting require. drug test, physical,
- Adult CPR/AED/Standard First Aid certified or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Ability to safely physically navigate and perform work at a large campus and affiliated property locations. Position requires ability to safely use hand and power tools, machinery and equipment, lift and carry weight up to 50lbs, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and climb.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
