The Rivers of Grosse Pointe is seeking a talented candidate to join the Dining Services team as a Cook - You will prepare delicious meals serve the residents in our community, ensuring all special dietary needs are met, while contributing to the excellence of the existing team.
In part, the responsibilities include:
- Prepare meals for residents based on menu and dietary needs
- Use food service equipment, including thermometers, knives, slicers, steamers, kettles, etc
- Use food preparation equipment including burners, grills, ovens, etc.
- Maintains, cleans and sanitizes equipment and work area according to established standards for safety and sanitation
- Ensure compliance with all record keeping, food safety and risk management requirements

Qualifications
Successful Candidates:
Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in food service in an institutional setting such as healthcare preferred.
Have a desire to maintain the highest standard of service excellence, be part of winning team, and positively contribute to the culture.
Have a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Are free from illegal use of drugs.
