Facilities Director
Supervises: Maintenance Crew and Housekeeping Staff
In-Person | Full-Time (40–50 hours/week)
Pay Range: $65,000–$90,000 annually (based on experience)
Position Summary
Riverton Country Club is seeking an experienced Facilities Director to oversee all aspects of clubhouse maintenance, repairs, and facility operations. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the clubhouse while supervising maintenance and housekeeping staff, coordinating contractors, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable responding to facility needs in a dynamic, hospitality-focused environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair of all building systems, including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, fire detection, drainage, and pumping systems
- Conduct routine property inspections and develop prioritized maintenance plans with projected completion dates
- Develop and implement in-season and off-season procedures, including winterization and opening checklists
- Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate maintenance and housekeeping staff
- Monitor and manage all work performed by outside contractors and communicate project status to the General Manager
- Prepare cost estimates and assist with budgeting and contract review
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation
- Manage inventory of maintenance, repair, and cleaning supplies
- Ensure all maintenance, repair, and cleaning tasks are properly identified, scheduled, and completed
- Respond to building and equipment emergencies, including after-hours as needed
- Assist with facility preparation for special events, tournaments, and club functions
- Support the development and execution of short-term and long-term maintenance and capital improvement plans
- Implement and maintain a proactive safety program in compliance with OSHA standards (excluding Golf Course Maintenance)
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervise all maintenance and housekeeping staff, including full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership and team collaboration abilities
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling
- In-depth understanding of building safety regulations and emergency response
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, minor electrical systems, and general building maintenance
- Skilled in the use of repair tools, techniques, and wall/structural repairs
- Ability to manage time effectively and respond to changing priorities
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in a supervisory role
- Background in general construction or building systems required
- Certifications in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Pool Management (Chemical Administration) are a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks as required
