What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Compliance Coordinator position at RIVERSIDE TRANSPORT GROUP?
The Compliance Coordinator must be knowledgeable in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist with the development and implementation of appropriate corporate compliance policies, procedures, and training for all personnel. Said policies, procedures and training affect all levels of employees from drivers to Senior Management personnel in all areas of the company.
- Maintain internal DOT compliance. Monitor and ensure accuracy of Driver Qualification records. This includes confirming proper compliance with the FMCSRs, MVR monitoring, and other records as needed.
- Report on and maintain records of all driver violations including, Citations, CSA violations, Out of Service Criteria, and Company Policies.
- Maintain recordkeeping needs based on CSA scores, logging trends, common incoming calls and conduct proactive safety related training.
- Complete onboarding audits for accuracy to ensure Compliance with Federal Regulation and Company policy.
- Maintain confidentiality of recordkeeping for the company Drug testing policy, Privacy of Medical records related to FMCSR 391.41, citation processing, and other compliance related items.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required, college work or completion preferred; 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Compliance management systems, Learning Management Systems, Microsoft Office Suite Products.
