DESCRIPTION:
Riverside Theatre seeks an experienced Guest Service Manager to lead its box office operations. The Box Office at Riverside Theatre handles all ticketing for the multi-show subscription season, Comedy Zone, Education Series, and special events, as well as rental performances. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, compassion, and creativity to a high-paced work environment.
Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
● Oversee Box Office operations including selling tickets, managing subscription renewals, and production season management
● Supervise the Guest Services Assistant Manager and part-time Guest Services Associates
● Schedule Box Office shifts, ensuring fairness based on availability
● Coordinate with the Production department on the season calendar prior to season rollout
● Build the production season in our Tessitura ticketing system prior to season rollout
● Reconcile daily transactions with Finance department to ensure accuracy
● Collaborate with Development department on membership initiatives and Annual Fund contributions
● Maximize revenue through upselling opportunities
● Encourage an atmosphere of camaraderie among Guest Services staff and staff in other departments
Required Skills and Qualifications:
● Previous work in Guest Services (Box Office, Front Desk, Customer Care)
● Previous supervisory experience
● Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive)
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
● General interest in the arts, particularly theatre
● Organized and Detail-Oriented
● Ability to remain calm under pressure
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
● Punctual and Available to work evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements:
● Occasional moving and lifting items up to 25 lbs while utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines
