Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and continuously improve dementia and Alzheimer’s care programs using evidence-based practices.
- Ensure staff are trained and competent in person-centered care for residents with cognitive impairments.
- Monitor program outcomes and resident engagement to maintain high standards of quality and innovation.
- Promote positive resident and family relations through responsive communication and personalized care.
- Support activities and engagement programs that enhance residents’ social, emotional, and physical well-being.
- Lead community operations, including recruiting and retention, performance management, scheduling, and staff development.
- Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors, and ensure adherence to emergency procedures.
- Oversee marketing and sales activities, including public relations and prospective resident follow-up, to achieve occupancy goals.
- Manage daily operations of Assisted Living and Memory Care, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Coordinate resident move-ins and periodically review residency agreements for compliance.
- Oversee healthcare programs and services (e.g., medications, bathing, charting) and ensure adherence to all regulations.
- Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant records for residents and staff.
- Manage IDPH surveys, including annual, life safety, and complaint surveys.
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor occupancy, revenue, and expenses, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Implement quality assurance programs to evaluate and improve departmental performance.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of billing, accounting, and payroll processes.
- Collaborate with marketing teams and build partnerships with local organizations to enhance community engagement and reputation.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to ensure business continuity.
- Occupancy: Maintain or exceed targeted occupancy levels for Assisted Living and Memory Care units.
- Quality Assurance (QAPI): Achieve compliance and performance benchmarks in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs.
- Financial Performance: Meet or exceed budgeted revenue and expense targets; demonstrate effective cost control and resource utilization.
- Resident Satisfaction: Maintain high resident and family satisfaction scores through surveys and feedback mechanisms.
- Staff Competency: Ensure 100% completion of staff training, including dementia care training and certification within required timelines.
- Facility License remaining in Good Standing with the State of Illinois.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care
- Passion for working with older adults and enhancing their quality of life
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong operational knowledge, including budgeting, staffing, and regulatory compliance
- Strong understanding of the Illinois Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act
- Experience leading and responding to IDPH surveys for Assisted Living
- Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration, gerontology, nursing, or related field required
- Master’s Degree required
- Certified Dementia Practitioner CDP Certification Requiredormust be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Current CPR certification or obtainment within 6 months of hire with subsequent renewal annually
