What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Worker position at Riverside Haven Care Home LLC?
Position Summary:
Provide personal care, protection, and supervision to residents consistent with individual care plans and licensing requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and feeding needs.
- Attend to residents in accordance with care and service plans.
- Administer medications as per training and as required.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and home-like environment.
- Document resident care incidents, and changes in their health/social conditions.
- Support resident participation in social and recreational activities.
- Respect and uphold resident rights.
- Respond to emergencies and follow home procedures.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age.
- At least High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of AFC-required training (First Aid, CPR, resident rights, infection control, medication administration, fire safety and evacuation procedures).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Physically able to provide care (lifting, assisting, standing for long periods).
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, elderly population or in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must pass background check
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is preferred.
- Must have empathy and respect for diverse population
- Strong attention to detail.
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
