Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety standards
- Engage residents in social activities and provide emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely for resident transfers and mobility assistance
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and report concerns promptly
- Meal preparation/Laundry
- Any other assigned duties
Requirements
- Prior one year of work experience in assisted living, long-term care, AFC home , or residential care homes is highly preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with proper technique
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required, ongoing in-house training is also required
- Experience working with aged individuals and those with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is required
- Valid driver’s license for driving duties related to client transportation or community outings
- Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to caregiving

Pay: $15.00 - $17.13 per hour
