Housekeeper

We are seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Staff to join our hotel/motel housekeeping department. Housekeeping team members are responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming guest rooms and common areas throughout the property.

All housekeeping staff may be assigned daily cleaning duties throughout the hotel/motel, including guest rooms, public bathrooms, hallways, event spaces, fitness facilities, steam showers, laundry facilities, and guest day rooms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Room Cleaning

• Clean and prepare hotel/motel guest rooms according to established housekeeping standards.
• Make beds and replace used linens with clean sheets and pillowcases.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, mirrors, and floors.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and other room surfaces.
• Disinfect floors and other high-touch surfaces.
• Remove trash and replace trash liners.
• Replenish clean towels, toilet paper, tissues, and other required paper products and amenities.
• Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure they are properly prepared for guests.
• Report maintenance issues, damage, lost property, or other concerns to management.

Public Area Cleaning

Housekeeping staff may be responsible for cleaning and maintaining:

• Public bathrooms
• Hallways
• Event center when needed
• Fitness room
• Steam shower facilities
• Laundry facilities
• Guest day room
• Other hotel/motel common areas as assigned

Duties may include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, removing trash, cleaning fixtures, and replenishing supplies.

Laundry Duties

• Collect and sort towels, bed sheets, pillowcases, and other hotel linens.
• Wash linens using appropriate cleaning products and established procedures.
• Dry laundry according to linen and equipment instructions.
• Fold clean towels, sheets, and other linens neatly.
• Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Report damaged, stained, or missing linens to management.
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals.

Health, Safety & Sanitation

• Perform all cleaning duties in accordance with applicable health department rules and regulations.
• Follow hotel/motel sanitation, cleaning, and safety procedures.
• Properly use cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe working conditions throughout assigned areas.
• Immediately report spills, hazards, equipment problems, or other safety concerns.
• Follow proper procedures for handling guest belongings and lost-and-found items.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude toward guests and coworkers.
• Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Assist other housekeeping team members when needed.
• Perform additional housekeeping or cleaning duties based on hotel needs.
• Event center cleaning may be required when events are scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift as required.
• Positive attitude and commitment to providing clean and comfortable facilities for guests.

Work Environment

This position involves working throughout a hotel/motel property and may require frequent movement between guest rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, and other assigned locations. Housekeeping staff should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistent cleanliness and quality standards.
