Responsibilities
- Develop accurate and comprehensive construction estimates using industry-standard tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, incorporating all aspects of project costs including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor bids.
- Lead the bidding process by negotiating contracts with clients and subcontractors to secure favorable terms while maintaining project profitability.
- Coordinate with project teams to establish detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations that align with client expectations and company goals.
- Oversee construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines, providing proactive solutions to any issues that arise.
- Manage cost control efforts throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring expenses, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective measures as needed.
- Review and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors to clarify scope of work, deliverables, and payment terms.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication between design teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients for successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating combined with strong project management skills; familiarity with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, site management practices, and safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation to secure advantageous contracts while fostering long-term relationships.
- Excellent skills in cost control, pricing strategies, and contract management to maximize project profitability.
- Prior hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and on-the-ground challenges.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
