River Valley Foods is expanding and we’re looking for a hands-on, people-first Warehouse Team Lead to help support our fast-paced specialty food distribution center.

What You’ll Do

As a Warehouse Team Lead, you’ll take ownership of your shift and support the team by:

Leading & Supporting the Team

• Run daily startup meetings and communicate priorities


• Coach, train, and motivate new and existing team members


• Reinforce safe work habits and set the tone for a positive, productive shift

Driving Warehouse Operations

• Allocate work and adjust staffing based on the day’s needs


• Monitor workflow, productivity, and accuracy throughout the shift


• Perform equipment pre-op checks and maintain safety and SQF standards


• Keep aisles clean, organized, and hazard-free

Ensuring Shift Readiness & Accuracy

• Complete daily logs, reports, and temperature checks


• Support receiving, selecting, replenishment, sanitation, and pallet movement


• Operate warehouse equipment (jacks, high lifts, forklifts) safely

This role works closely with the on-duty Supervisor and plays a key part in leading a successful shift.

What We’re Looking For

• 2 years of warehouse experience (lead or trainer experience a plus)


• Comfortable leading a team and giving clear direction


• Ability to train new employees and reinforce safe work habits


• Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, high lift, jacks)


• Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure


• Reliable, positive attitude, and willingness to jump in where needed
