Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all administrative and clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, billing, coding, and financial reporting using systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix
- Manage medical records, patient scheduling, and electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Handle human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including JCAHO standards, HIPAA policies, and OSHA requirements
- Oversee medical administrative support functions including insurance claims processing, managed care coordination, and utilization management
- Maintain inventory control of dental supplies and equipment while managing vendor relationships
- Support clinical staff with medical terminology understanding and medical office management best practices
- Facilitate communication between providers, patients, insurance companies, and external healthcare entities to optimize practice workflow
Skills
- Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare management with strong supervisory skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical office systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, Epic, and eHR systems
- Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, billing practices, and managed care processes
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA regulations, and compliance standards like JCAHO
- Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising clinical and administrative teams in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in managing electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical administrative support functions
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
