Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a temporary assignment that requires immediate availability. Duties
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams by preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgeries, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy before, during, and after procedures.
- Document all nursing activities accurately and thoroughly in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth surgical operations and optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements throughout all duties.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice.
- Proven experience as an OR RN, demonstrating proficiency in surgical nursing procedures.
- Ability to start immediately or on short notice, with availability for a temporary assignment.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and patient monitoring equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and assignments as needed.
