Job Title: Housekeeping

River Hills Health and Rehab is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team. Our Housekeeping Department plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
- Follow daily cleaning schedules and infection prevention protocols
- Properly dispose of trash and biohazardous waste according to facility policies
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper products, and other housekeeping items
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning requests
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Interact with residents, families, and staff in a friendly and respectful manner
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred (healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus)
- Knowledge of infection prevention and sanitation practices preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable, punctual, and compassionate
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements
