Double Weekend Certified Medication Aide (CMA)Shift: Saturday & Sunday | 6:00 AM – 10:00 PMLocation: River Hills Health and Rehab
River Hills Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our nursing team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing exceptional resident care while ensuring medications are administered safely and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications as prescribed and delegated by the licensed nurse
- Accurately document medication administration and resident responses
- Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed
- Maintain medication carts and storage areas in accordance with facility policies
- Follow infection control, safety, and resident rights guidelines
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care
- Work collaboratively with nurses, CNAs, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
Qualifications:
- Current Texas Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification required
- Current Texas Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification preferred
- Previous long-term care experience preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration practices and documentation requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements
