Licensed Substance Abuse Therapist / Clinical Social Worker – Oskaloosa, IA
We are adding a substance abuse therapist to our growing behavioral health practice at River Hills Community Health Center.
The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is available.
Summary:
The substance abuse therapist provides substance use disorder treatment services to individuals and groups to promote recovery and overall behavioral health. The therapist delivers evidence-based substance abuse therapy, completes comprehensive assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and facilitates group therapy.
Therapists work with individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Responsibilities include ASAM level of care assessments, diagnostic summaries, treatment planning, progress documentation, discharge planning, referrals, and case management. Therapists may prepare court reports and testify when subpoenaed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work or behavioral health from an accredited program
- Active Iowa licensure as LISW, LMHC, or equivalent
(LMSW/TLMHC may be considered until independent licensure is achieved)
- Current CADC or TCADC required
- Knowledge of ASAM criteria
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Computer proficiency and Electronic Health Record experience
- Current BLS certification
Hours:
Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Flexible schedules may be considered.
